April 12, 2006: Visit of Master David
Shaw, Sandan Dianne Boria and two of their students from the York Self
Defense Club of York, Maine, Sandan Tim House from the Tai
Chien Dojo in
Portsmouth, NH and Nidan Rick Downs of the Rose School
of Karate to
the Red Leaf Karate Club. Focus was on joint lock combinations and
practical applications of basics. We even had floor pads. Great class!
Feb. 22, 2006: Sandan Tim House from the Tai
Chien Dojo in
Portsmouth, NH visited the Red Leaf Karate Club for class. Focus
was on basics.
Feb. 8, 2006: Master David Shaw from the York Self
Defense Club of York, Maine and Nidan Rick Downs and Orange Belt Josh
from the
Rose School of Karate, visit the Red Leaf Karate Club for class. Focus
was on practical application of Basic Techniques, Joint Locks and
Pressure points.
Jan. 31, Feb. 7 & 14, 2006:
Sensei Scott Williams teaches a Women's Self Defense Class through the
Noble Adult & Community Education Program at Noble High School.
Nine Women completed the course which included; Self Defense Awareness
& Theory, How to Kick and Strike Effectively, Basic Self Defense
Techniques and Combinations and Basic Breaks to Escape From Common
Holds and Grabs.
Oct. 14 - 16, 2005:
Shodan Scott Williams attends Grandmaster Rose's Disciple Retreat in
Jackson, NH with Sandan Russ Jones, Sandan Jim Nancarrow, Sanda Parker
and Shodan Rick Downs. Sandan Jones gets promoted to Yondan and Shodans
